- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining lush gardens, vibrant flowerbeds, healthy trees, and immaculate lawns, ensuring the estate remains attractive, well-kept, and welcoming for residents.

Key Responsibilities
Garden Maintenance
-
Pruning trees and overgrown shrubs
-
Reinstating plant beds and garden redevelopment
-
Turning over plant beds
-
Cutting grass and trimming edges
-
Weeding garden areas
-
Hand or additional watering when required
Tools & Machinery
-
Inspecting tools before and after use (lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, brush cutters)
-
Cleaning tools at the end of each workday
-
Oiling and sharpening blades of cutting equipment
Refuse Management
-
Collecting household refuse
-
Sorting recyclable waste from general waste
-
Cleaning and sanitising refuse bins
-
Loading garden waste for disposal
Housekeeping / General Duties
-
Cleaning the workshop and canteen
-
Cleaning external areas around the Body Corporate Reception
-
Opening external dining and courtyard umbrellas (weather permitting)
-
Cleaning grounds around the security kiosk
-
Inspecting perimeter fencing for weeds or vegetation (weekly)
-
Spraying perimeter fencing for weeds or vegetation (monthly)
General Maintenance
-
Sweeping synthetic turf in courtyards
-
Sweeping paved courtyard surfaces
-
Sweeping paved areas around healthcare facilities
-
Collecting leaves in courtyards
Qualifications
-
Matric certificate (advantageous)
Experience & Knowledge
-
Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience in a similar role
-
Knowledge of plants and gardening techniques
-
Knowledge of horticultural machinery and tools (advantageous)
-
Knowledge of irrigation systems (advantageous)
-
Ability to perform basic grounds maintenance tasks
-
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
-
Understanding of health and safety regulations
