Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Lambton Gardens store has an opportunity available for a Retail Store Assistant to join the team. The primary purpose of this role is to assist with the overall management of the store by ensuring that all operational and administrative duties are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric
-
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP)

Retail experience
Job Specification

Manage and report all customer compliments and complaints to management.
-
Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers.
-
Ensure all customer stock queries are addressed and resolved promptly.
-
Maintain effective communication with customers, providing feedback when required.
-
Assist customers with enquiries and refer them to the relevant departments when necessary.
-
Adhere to the company benchmark for customer turnover per hour.
-
Manage shorts and overs at the point of sale, including cash floats.
-
Process refunds and returns accurately.
-
Ensure back shopping and returned goods are handled correctly.
-
Verify deliveries and invoices for accuracy.
-
Assist the Receiving Manager with preparing and logging Distribution Centre claims on the claims system.
-
Manage and control high-risk stock.
-
Prepare daily run reconciliations.
-
Prepare, order, and receive branch change requirements to ensure sufficient change is available for cashiers.
-
Maintain effective liaison between relevant internal and external parties.

Ensure proper document control, including floats, petty cash, and cash on hand.
