Purpose of the Role
The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting management with reliable financial information to aid decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, collate, and analyse financial reports and statements for management

Manage day-to-day accounting operations

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Support external audits and tax submissions
-
Monitor and analyse financial performance and key metrics
-
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets

Perform ad hoc financial and accounting duties as required
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
-
Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA or similar) preferred
-
Minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, preferably within the automotive industry

Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards

Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
