ASSISTANT DIRECTOR – PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

SALARY: R468 459 per annum (Level 09)
CENTRE: Polokwane, Limpopo


REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following fields:

    • Business Management

    • Community Development

    • Project Management

    • Public Administration

    • Public Management

    • Human Resource Management

    • Human Resource Development

  • Qualification must be recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in the youth development field.

DUTIES

  • Coordinate and facilitate the recruitment of NARYSEC participants within the district.

  • Engage and liaise with local stakeholders on NARYSEC recruitment processes.

  • Prepare recruitment advertisements in consultation with the Director and place adverts at key local points.

  • Arrange and facilitate orientation of newly recruited NARYSEC participants.

  • Facilitate the recruitment of qualifying participants and submit required documentation to the Human Resources unit.

  • Coordinate the signing of contracts with recruited NARYSEC participants.

  • Coordinate security vetting of successful applicants.

  • Capture participant information on the NARYSEC Information Management System.

  • Coordinate and manage NARYSEC participants enrolled in the programme within the district.

  • Monitor participant attendance and participation, and compile monthly reports.

  • Update records of participants placed at training institutions and leadership programmes.

  • Support the coordination of community service activities for NARYSEC participants.

  • Facilitate and coordinate logistical arrangements for participants attending training, meetings and events.

  • Administer attendance registers during training for stipend payments.

  • Administer the payment of top-up stipends.

  • Compile monthly reports on inactive or absconded participants whose stipends or allowances must be frozen or terminated.

  • Coordinate and facilitate skills development initiatives within the district.

  • Facilitate and coordinate career guidance sessions in collaboration with the Deputy Director: Skills Development.

  • Facilitate the signing of training commitment letters by participants.

  • Educate participants on the payment and management of additional allowances.

  • Conduct monthly visits to training venues to monitor attendance and training progress and compile reports.

  • Coordinate, facilitate and support economic opportunities for NARYSEC participants.

  • Identify and engage stakeholders to support economic opportunities.

  • Facilitate partnerships to advance NARYSEC economic initiatives.

  • Link participants to internal and external economic opportunities.

  • Facilitate and coordinate business support for NARYSEC enterprises.
