Job Description

  • Raizcorp is looking for a Junior Communications Writer for a one-year internship.
  • This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning product updates and technical information into clear, practical content that people actually want to read.
  • You will support multiple communities across two premium software platform ecosystems by creating weekly updates, release communications, and help content such as FAQs, glossaries, and knowledge base articles.
  • If you enjoy software, learning new systems, and simplifying complex information, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

You will produce weekly content for multiple audiences, including (but not limited to):

  • System partners (resellers)

  • System users

  • System administrators

  • Company employees with system access

  • Partner Elite Community

  • Other unique partner communities


Key Deliverables

  • Communication on new and upcoming system features

  • Post-release communications (what changed, what to expect, and required actions)

  • Writing and maintaining internal system content, including:

  • FAQs
  • System definitions and dictionary content
  • Glossaries
  • Knowledge base articles and help documentation
  • Creating how-to videos using screen-recording software (this will likely be a regular requirement)

  • Supporting community management by maintaining accurate and up-to-date community databases


Requirements

  • Some experience in writing documents or articles (work, internship, freelance, or student publications). A portfolio will be required if shortlisted

  • Strong written English with a clear, structured writing style

  • An A symbol for English in Matric (required)

  • A relevant degree (Literature, Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, or similar)

  • Comfortable working with detail and weekly deadlines

  • Exposure to technical writing (SaaS, systems, user guides, SOPs, release notes, help articles) will be an advantage

  • Experience writing for online communities or customer communications will be an advantage

  • Basic experience with screen-recorded video creation/editing will be an advantage

  • 2–3 writing samples (links or PDFs), with at least one demonstrating structured or instructional writing (e.g. how-to guides, explainers, SOPs, or help documentation)
